Apple Activities was set up by Di Charlton (who made "chattering" so famous throughout NZ in 1995) 20 years ago, when much to her horror, her son was given Ninja Turtle toys for his 4th birthday and then again for Christmas. Di set about finding quality, educational toys that were not a fad or encouraged acts of violence.

And look what she found! So many toys they even hang from the ceiling.

Twenty years on Di is still as passionate as ever about quality, educational toys with lasting play value and has now added hundreds of books suitable for children up to 12 years of age to the store.

Di, known for her enthusiasm and passion, taught in Hawke's Bay Schools for ten years, so is well qualified to answer all of your questions and to advise you on how to help your child who may be struggling at school.

Di has built an equally competent team around her. Leanne has been helping customers for over 10 years now and Janet and Penny for nearly five years.

They all pride themselves on their extensive knowledge of the huge product range stocked at Apple Activities.
